Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General
Is direct contact with the school necessary in the registration process?
Booking is done entirely on the langart.net platform. Only in this case will you be able to receive a discount, where applicable. After completing the reservation, you will receive confirmation from the school along with the necessary contact details. Of course, you can visit the school’s website at any time to confirm that our prices are the same or lower than those at the school.
How do I book a language course/accommodation? Step by step.
Once you’ve chosen the language, country, city, and language school you wish to study at, booking a language course on langart.net is easy. Simply go to the profile of the selected school and follow the instructions on the "How to book?" page.
What are the benefits of booking a language course through langart.net?
With us, you can book courses at recognized language schools around the world. You will not be charged any agency fees and will never pay more than you would when booking directly with the school. In fact, in many cases, you will pay less!
When do the courses start?
If you're not a complete beginner, most schools allow you to start a course every Monday of the year. For beginners, courses typically start on specific dates, usually once or twice a month. The start dates for complete beginners are listed in the course description on each school’s profile on langart.net.
What if there are no more places on the course of my choice?
Our booking system ensures that reservations cannot be made for unavailable courses. However, if your chosen course is unavailable due to a potential system update error, we will offer you an alternative solution. If you decline, we will refund your entire deposit.
How is langart.net able to offer the same, and in many cases, even lower prices than the schools, without charging additional fees to students?
Langart.net is an online platform that, unlike traditional agencies, saves on administrative costs, printing, and distribution of brochures. Additionally, like travel agencies receiving commissions from airlines and hotels, langart.net receives a commission from language schools for every booking. Part of this commission is passed on to students in the form of discounts.
Who can use the langart.net platform?
The language course reservation service on langart.net is free and available to everyone. For minors, parental or legal guardian consent is required.
Is langart.net related to language schools in any way?
Langart.net is an independent online platform for booking language courses abroad, where selected language schools from around the world offer their courses.
Are there any additional costs for booking on langart.net?
The reservation service on langart.net is completely free for our customers. Additionally, we offer discounts on tuition fees for most schools, making it less expensive to book a course through langart.net than directly with the school.
Does langart.net offer discounts on all courses?
We currently offer discounts on the official catalog prices of most language courses available on langart.net. The discount applies to tuition fees and is available only to customers booking through our online platform. It does not apply to customers who book directly with the school.
Will I get a discount if I book the course directly at the school?
No, you will not receive a discount if you book the course directly with the school.
The course
How many students are in the class?
The maximum and average number of students in a group is provided in the course description, which can be found on the school’s profile on our website.
Are extra-curricular activities organized?
Many schools organize extra-curricular activities and trips.
Can I book a course without accommodation?
Yes, booking accommodation is optional.
Can I work during the course?
Generally, student or tourist visas do not allow you to work in most countries.
Will I receive a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes. Most schools issue a certificate of attendance, provided you attend regularly. Information about whether the school issues certificates is available in the school’s profile on our website.
I don't know what language level I am at.
Don't worry. On the first day of the course, a language test will be conducted to determine your level and assign you to the appropriate group.
How much in advance should I book a course?
This depends on the season. For summer courses, it’s best to book at least one month in advance. In the off-season, booking a few days ahead may be sufficient. If your booking includes both the course and accommodation, we recommend booking as early as possible, as the best accommodation options are usually allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require a visa, we recommend booking at least 3 months in advance.
Are there any age restrictions for language course participants?
Langart.net offers language courses for all ages, from children and adolescents to adults. Most courses have a minimum age requirement, which is specified in the course description on the school’s profile.
How to choose a school and language course?
While studying a language abroad offers many benefits, it’s important to consider several factors before you travel. Visit the "How to choose a language course" page for some useful tips.
Is langart.net a language school?
No, langart.net is not a language school. It is an online platform where you can book courses at language schools and universities around the world.
What is the minimum duration of the course?
The minimum duration of a standard or intensive language course is usually one week. The shorter the course, the greater the number of lessons per week. However, 8-12-week courses tend to yield better results, as they provide sufficient lessons to progress to a higher level.
How are language schools selected?
The school registration process has two stages. After receiving an application from a school, we thoroughly check its credentials. If the school meets our criteria, it receives an invitation to register on the langart.net platform. Not all schools wishing to cooperate are accepted.
How and when should I pay for the course?
To guarantee a place on the course, a prepayment of 15-35% is required, depending on the school. In some cases, no prepayment is required. The remaining balance is due after receiving the school’s invoice, at the latest on the first day of the course. Most schools require the balance to be paid no later than 14 days before the course starts.
Can my language course be paid for by the company?
Yes, this is possible. If so, please provide your company details, including the VAT number, in the application form. The school will issue an invoice.
Accommodation
Does every language school provide accommodation?
Most language schools on our platform offer accommodation for students during their course. If you book a language course at a school that doesn’t provide accommodation, you will need to arrange your own. Under "Student Housing," we provide links to local and global booking platforms that specialize in affordable student housing.
Are students of the same nationality accommodated together?
Schools generally try not to place students of the same nationality in the same host family or apartment, as this encourages them to speak in their native language, which can hinder their learning.
Do host families live close to the school?
Schools typically cooperate with host families who live within a reasonable distance from the school. In larger cities, this may mean a commute of several dozen minutes by public transport, while in smaller cities, it may be just a few minutes' walk. The distance from the school is provided in the accommodation description on the school profile.
Are there any age restrictions regarding host family accommodation?
Most host families accept students of all ages and nationalities. Some families may set a minimum age for guests, though this is rare.
Are meals included in the price?
Meal options vary depending on the type of accommodation. Some options include full board, half board, breakfast, or self-catering. This information is always provided in the accommodation description on the school profile.
When will I receive my accommodation address?
Schools typically send accommodation details a few days before arrival. Some schools require full payment before sending accommodation information.
Since when do I have accommodation before the course?
Accommodation is generally available from the Saturday or Sunday before the course begins. Details can be found in the accommodation description on the school profile.
Are host families verified by the school?
Host families are vetted and monitored by schools on an ongoing basis. Many have years of experience hosting international students.
I would like to share accommodation with my child attending a language course. Is it possible?
Yes, some schools offer shared accommodation for families or the option to stay in the same place as your child.
Making a booking
Do you book flights and pickup from the airport?
Langart.net is not a travel agency and does not book flights. We recommend using local agents or global booking platforms for this purpose. Each school’s profile on langart.net lists the nearest international airports.
Most schools offer an airport pickup service, which is usually paid. Prices depend on the distance from the airport to the school. If you wish to use this service, select the option during booking and send your flight details to the school at least one week before your arrival.

What credit cards do you accept?
You can pay the required deposit using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Maestro debit cards (and other cards suitable for online payments, including those with a CVV2 code).
Can I make changes after completing the application form?
Yes, you can make changes to your booking. Schools usually process changes within 2-3 business days, so adjustments can be made during this period.
Can I make changes after receiving confirmation and invoice?
Yes, changes can be made after confirmation, provided the options are available. Some schools may charge a fee for changes, and significant changes that reduce the course price may be treated as partial cancellations, which could incur a cancellation fee. We recommend reviewing the school's terms before making changes.
What are the cancellation policies?
Langart.net does not charge cancellation fees, but the language schools may. Please inform us immediately if you wish to cancel, so we can notify the school and minimize any cancellation fees. Most schools allow you to postpone your course without penalty. Cancellation and refund policies may vary between schools, so it is important to review the terms and conditions. Booking through langart.net means you accept the school’s terms and conditions and enter into a contract directly with the school.
Insurance
Should I take out insurance?
We strongly recommend that all course participants take out sickness, accident, and early return insurance. European course participants should also apply for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to access affordable treatment in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Can I buy insurance at langart.net?
No, langart.net does not offer insurance. We recommend contacting local insurance companies.
I had to visit a doctor abroad. How can I apply for reimbursement of medical expenses from the insurance?
Complete the claim form and send it directly to the insurance company.
The Visa
What school documents do I need to apply for a visa?
People applying for a visa to enter a specific country must book their course and accommodation at least 8 weeks before the course start date. The visa application procedure varies from country to country; therefore, students should contact the relevant embassy or consulate in their country to obtain updated information. Langart.net cannot apply for a visa on behalf of students. The only thing we can do is provide the necessary documents to attach to the visa application.
Despite differences in visa issuance procedures, in most cases the following are required:
- confirmation of admission to the course;
- proof of payment of all required fees.
To receive these documents, it is necessary to book a course with accommodation and make full payment. Your documents will be sent to your home address by regular mail, free of charge. If you wish to receive them via express courier, a shipping fee will apply. This fee depends on the school’s location and the country of residence. To ensure the documents are delivered on time, Langart.net recommends choosing express delivery.
What happens if my visa application is denied?
If a course participant has to cancel their booking due to a visa refusal, all payments made will be refunded, minus a cancellation fee charged by the school. Cancellation due to a visa refusal applies exclusively to students who submitted their visa application in a timely manner and for the appropriate visa category.
The student must provide an official document confirming the visa refusal at least 3 weeks before the start of the course. Please note that each school has its own cancellation policy in case of visa refusal, as stated in the school's terms and conditions. We recommend reading them carefully.
