Istituto Venezia is an Italian language school in Venice officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. It is a member of: Asils and Tandem International.
For many years, Istituto Venezia has been promoting and supporting the teaching of Italian language, coordinating courses for Venice International University and hosting study-abroad programs of several American universities. Our school is a training center for Postgraduate Teaching programme Italian for Foreigners of Ca' Foscari University Laboratorio Itals.

Course description
Classes are held everyday from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 10:30 am and from 11 am to 12:30 am, 3 hours a day with one teacher. Students who already know a bit of Italian can enrol any time. According to their level, the participants can acquire a basic knowledge of Italian or improve and perfect the their previous knowledge. In each group there is a maximum of 10 students.

Course description
This is the ideal for who cannot attend the group courses, or for who isn’t free all the days. Lessons are held in the afternoon, usually after 2 pm. lessons on saturday, sunday and national holiday cost 40 euro per hour. This course can be attended by a maximum of 2 people, who must have the same language level.

Guest house Residence Santa Marta
Single rooms, all with private bathroom and kitchenette, spacious, quiet and with a good natural light, equipped with all the comforts for long or short stays.
The residence offers a common garden, a restaurant and a bar, a gym, conference rooms, several study rooms, a laundry room and a bicycle storage facility.
City tax: 1,5 euro per night for the first 5 nights. This tax is not included in the accommodation fee and it is to be paid directly at the Residence.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO THE BOOKING.
Description of the booking process, deposit payment, balance payment
1. Making a booking.
1.1 The booking will be made via langart.net through an online booking system.
2. Deposit payment
2.1 A deposit, in the amount specified in the booking process, to secure a place on the course, will be charged to the student at the time of booking.
3. Balance payment
3.1 The balance will be paid by the student to the school directly.
3.2 For the payment of the balance, the school will issue an invoice to the student, with the deposit deducted, and forward it to the student along with confirmation of enrolment and other documents relating to the booking. The invoice will include the methods of payment accepted by the school, as well as the deadline for payment.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
First week (course + accommodation) for cancellations notified within 13 days from the starting date.
First week (course only) with 14 to 29 days’ notice.
Nothing with 30 days’ notice or more.
REFUND POLICY
No refund for courses partially attended. We can refund part of the course only in case of serious illness, with a medical certificate provided by students.
VISA REFUSALS
Students must enrol no later than 10 weeks before the beginning of the course and pay in full the tuition fees in advance. We will send you an admission letter to be submitted to the pertaining Italian authorities of your country (Italian Embassy or Consulate).
If you don’t get a student Visa, you will get your prepayment back by sending us a copy of the Embassy/Consulate letter with the reasons for non-admission. Please note that the original copy of the Admission Letter must be also sent back to the school. The school will keep 150 euro of the prepayment as administrative fees.
