Cambridge Assessment Group

Established over 150 years ago, Cambridge Assessment is the University's international exams group, comprising three exam boards as well as the largest educational research capability of its kind. The exam boards, incorporated within the Cambridge Assessment Group, deliver qualifications and associated services in over 150 countries around the world.

 

Cambridge Assessment is the brand name used by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). UCLES is a non-teaching department of the University of Cambridge and has various subsidiaries. The University of Cambridge is an exempt charity.

 

The Cambridge Assessment Group has three major exam boards: Cambridge Assessment English, Cambridge Assessment International Education and Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR). Cambridge Assessment English and Cambridge Assessment International Education are part of UCLES along with the Research and Consultancy Division. OCR is a company limited by guarantee and is wholly owned by the University of Cambridge through UCLES, it is also an exempt charity.
